We serve a great pint of cask ale and being owned by a family brewery means we serve the best in the area. Our range of beers include award-winning cask ales, as well as our limited edition seasonal ales, exclusive collaborations, and Manchester favourites; Manchester Pale Ale and Manchester Craft Lager. We also serve up a fantastic G&T or a glass of fizz, and we’ve got a hand-picked collection of great wines, so there is plenty of choice. We source our drinks from Willoughby’s, our very own wine merchant and our list of wines and spirits has been specifically created using wines drawn from small producers around the world.
Beer & Cider
JW LEES BITTER - 4.0% ABV
Born of time when beer was beer, we make it using ale and crystal malt, and Golding hops, for a satisfying flavour and citrus aftertaste that's rewarded Mancunian graft for generations.
COSMIC BREW - 3.9% ABV
JW Lees and Professor Brian Cox are on a mission. To explore new worlds. To seek out new ideas and new flavours. To boldly go where no one has gone before. It is this thrust of curiosity that has led us to Cosmic Brew: a hoppy and thirst-quenching amber ale. Crisp, citrus and white grape to taste
MANCHESTER PALE ALE - 3.7% ABV
Our refreshingly Mancunian pale ale gives ale lovers a similar hop-packed offering to its American equivalents. It's a golden ale that’s made entirely from all-British malt, Liberty and Mount Hood hops. It’s a post-industrial Manchester classic (as Tony Wilson might have put it).
FOUNDERS - 4.5% ABV
Named in honour of John Lees, it's a colourful, well-balanced and full-bodied premium bitter, with a nutty finish. Our recipe makes use of ale and crystal malt, and Pilgrim and Golding hops. The result is a beer with nothing held back, fit for the good man himself.
JW Lees Stout ABV 4.1%
JW Lees Stout is a dark and brooding ale that takes its inspiration - and its main ingredient - from those same northern skies. Made with pride using the finest northern water.
MANCHESTER CRAFT LAGER - 4.7% ABV
Using almost two centuries' worth of expertise on craft ale, we brew Manchester Craft Lager in small batches, giving it longer maturation to create a stronger, more flavoured lager that takes things up a notch or two. perfect balance of freshness and flavour. Brewed with Saaz and celeia hops and all British malt.
ORIGINAL LAGER - 4.0% ABV
Our Original Lager recipe, nice and simple for a crisp, light taste. Brewed using only British malts, we use plenty of Styrian and Saaz hops and no additives. This makes sure it’s got just the right enticing hoppiness and depth when it reaches the glass, and absolutely no nonsense.
CARLSBERG - 3.8% ABV
The new Carlsberg Danish Pilsner remains at 3.8% ABV and retains the light, refreshing qualities of its predecessor but has been ‘rebrewed from head to hop’ to deliver a smoother, fuller mouth-feel and a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. Distinctive citrus and floral hop aromas deliver greater depth of flavour and a hoppy, moreish aftertaste that will stay with you until the final sip.
SAN MIGUEL - 5.0% ABV
A pilsen-style lager, golden yellow in colour with reflections of old gold., it offers up hints of smoke on the nose and a palate of balanced, toasted, of medium bitterness with a prevailing subtle toasting of the barley.Full bodied with a refreshing balance of bitterness from the hops and sweetness from the malt
SYMONDS CIDER - 5.5% ABV
Blended from the finest Herefordshire apples including Dabinett and Michelin varieties; resulting in a fresh, crsip, fruity cider, with a high degree of complexity and depth of character coupled with Symonds rich heritage from a golden age of traditional cider making.
Guinness - 4.2% ABV
The deep color and caramelized flavor that are characteristic of Guinness come from barley that has been roasted but not malted. The thick, creamy head that Guinness is well known for is achieved by mixing the beer with nitrogen, which creates smaller bubbles and thus a thicker head.
