Welcome to the Goshawk
The Goshawk pub is a beautiful, 19th Century, former coaching inn featuring a cosy public bar and relaxed restaurant with real fires to cosy up on cold evenings. Our bar is filled with the JW Lees family of beers, including our seasonal cask range, plus firm favourites; MPA, JW Lees Bitter and Manchester Craft Lager. Our new Spring 2022 menus are filled with both pub classics & freshly prepared daily specials using the finest seasonal ingredients, and possibly the best Sunday roast in the area. We recommend booking a table to guarantee a space. On weekdays we also offer a cosy lunch with both 2 and 3 course options.
We’ve got bags of character, with the interior showing off many classic architectural features such as large fireplaces & attractive stout wooden lintels. We’re family friendly with a lovely outdoor dining terrace, floodlit bowling green and an adventure play area to keep younger guests occupied. We’re pleased to welcome well behaved dogs inside the pub, so feel free to bring your four-legged friend along after a fantastic long walk around Delamere Forest and the surrounding areas.
We’ve got plenty of parking, however as an alternative to driving we are opposite the train station that runs between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester. here are public & private events rooms for your special occasions; the Delamere, Oakmere, Hatchmere and Sandstone rooms, ideal for birthdays, anniversaries and celebratory events.
Being at the heart of village life, there’s always plenty of events taking place at the pub from special offers to our ever popular quiz nights. Take a look at our WHAT’S ON page and SIGN UP TO OUR NEWSLETTER to keep up with what’s going on.

Great Vibe, Lovely Staff
Took my parents here for a meal when they visited me at uni. Really great atmosphere and good selection of food to choose from. We were served by a girl named Lottie, she was really attentive to our needs and really was a highlight to our visit. Kudos to the staff! Will certainly be returning. Bonus that it is also dog friendly!
Homely Yummy Food
Had a fantastic meal here with my friends. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. The food was really tasty and hearty, was a lovely evening and I’ll be going back again soon. Making me hungry just thinking about it.
Sunday Lunchtime Treat
What stood out for us was the great customer service, convenient location and reasonable prices for the home cooked food. We will definitely be back. The balcony terrace overlooking the bowling green will be the perfect spot for summer drinks/food. Would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant.
