The Goshawk, Mouldsworth is a beautiful, 19th Century, former coaching inn featuring a cosy public bar and relaxed restaurant with views of our stunning beer garden.
Our bar is filled with the JW Lees family of beers, including our seasonal cask range, plus firm favourites; MPA, JW Lees Bitter and Manchester Craft Lager. Our new menus are filled with both pub classics & freshly prepared daily specials using the finest seasonal ingredients, and quite possibly the best Sunday roast in the area. Monday to Friday we offer a Prix Fixe set menu with two to three course options available for those looking for a mid week treat.
A warm welcome always awaits our guests and we keep bar tables set aside for walk-in guests, but we’d always recommending booking a table at busy times to guarantee the best space.
We’ve got bags of character, with the interior showing off many classic architectural features such as large fireplaces and attractive stout wooden lintels. We’re family friendly with a lovely outdoor dining terrace, floodlit bowling green and an adventure play area to keep younger guests occupied.
We’re pleased to welcome well behaved dogs inside the pub, so feel free to bring your four-legged friend along after a long walk around Delamere Forest and the surrounding areas. We also have a dog wash for muddy boots & mucky paws and always have plenty of treats on the bar!

Pull up a chair with our new Spring menu in Mouldsworth. Pull up a chair to our delicious seasonal dishes, made for warm days and cold pints with friends and family. Perfect for pairing with our Manchester-made beers, our new menu includes seasonal salads, new signature dishes, succulent grills and more. Not forgetting your pub favourites like our legendary cheese & onion pie, MPA battered cod fillet and the iconic Brewery tower burger.
If you’re planning a midweek catch-up, try our Prix Fixe set menu. Served all day from 12 noon Monday to Friday, enjoy two courses for only 17.45 or three for 19.95. Go on… treat yourself to a laid-back bite and a proper pint.
Sunday is a day of roast. Ours come with bottomless gravy and unlimited Yorkshire puddings (because one Yorkie is never enough and good gravy should never run out). Nothing beats a proper roast, and it’s even better without the bother of cooking and cleaning.
